Xegg Hunt

A lot of heritage and superstition surrounds a xegg. In an attempt to break into pop culture, I wanted to create symbolic motifs that were of African-American descent or color. Xeggs were originally inspired with the intention to visually explore the black experience in America. (Childish Gambino explains this exact concept in the song, “19.10”.) Overtime I sought out to make my own luck. Xeggs then became more of a talisman/totem of hope, truth and protection. They come in many different forms, shapes, sizes, and colors. Every color except white. Hope you can find some.
